The BMA is seeking a full-time Digital Content Producer to create original video, audio, and other multimedia content for the BMA’s website and digital platforms.

Assistant Director of Visitor Experience

The BMA is seeking an Assistant Director of Visitor Experience to provide welcoming and positive experiences for all visitors and promote awareness of and easy access to the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, programs, and services both in the Museum and through related online platforms.

Network Administrator

The Baltimore Museum of Art seeks a full-time Network Administrator who maintains computer infrastructure with a focus on networking.

Associate Curator/Curator and Department Head, Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands

The Baltimore Museum of Art seeks a full-time Associate Curator/Curator to serve as Department Head for the Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands (AAAPI), one of the country’s largest and most comprehensive collections of artworks created outside of the Euro-American cultural sphere.

Internships

The BMA offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates. These positions provide the opportunity for interns to contribute to various Museum projects and activities while learning how a major institution functions on a day-to-day basis. Interns will be guided by their supervisor who will act as a mentor and teach them about their department’s function within the Museum. The BMA’s Internship Program provides each intern with a stipend.

Grant Writing Intern

The BMA’s Advancement Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with all aspects of grant writing. The position will work across departments to learn about priority projects, create draft fundraising proposals, research potential funding opportunities, and report on past gifts and other related topics.

Membership Fulfillment Intern

The BMA’s Advancement Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with all aspects of Membership fulfillment. The intern will work with current and new member groups. They will assist with filing, data tracking, and event preparation to support staff as we prepare for our BMA Ball.

Interpretation Intern

The BMA’s Education and Interpretation Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with all aspects of museum and gallery interpretation. This work includes supporting the department with interpretive resources, maintaining interpretive spaces, and evaluating strategy implementation to ensure visitors are engaging with our galleries and having enriching experiences.

Lexington Market Intern

The BMA’s Education Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with our public programming at the Museum's outpost in Lexington Market. The intern will facilitate artmaking and conversation through drop-in engagement with visitors to our stall.

Tours and Special Programs Intern

The BMA’s Education Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with all aspects of tours and special programs. The position will assist with creating and preparing materials for tours and special programs, as well as observing and participating in these events.

Art Registration Intern

The BMA’s Registration Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist with day-to-day aspects of art registration. This work includes cataloguing artwork, records, etc. into our collections database, The Museum System (TMS), and researching extensive object and exhibition files.

Valerie J. Maynard Legacy Internship

The Valerie J. Maynard Legacy Internship is a partnership program between the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Valerie J. Maynard Foundation, to honor the legacy and vision of the artist who was a pioneering member of the Black Arts Movement, and a beloved icon of the Baltimore arts community (and beyond). This unique exchange provides interns with the opportunity to learn and gain experience in the museum field and in a private collection setting.
