FAITH (Eleisha Faith McCorkle) is an award-winning transdisciplinary artist, cultural producer, and storyteller dedicated to fostering resilience and healing through art. As the Public Engagement Coordinator, FAITH plays a vital role in the daily operations of BMA Lexington Market. FAITH’s work includes organizing public programs, collaborating with community partners, staffing open hours, engaging with visitors, facilitating art-making activities, and creating a welcoming space for all. FAITH’s devotion to service ensures that the branch remains a vibrant hub of creativity and connection.
FAITH’s artistic and curatorial practice explores themes of transformation and Black resilience through papermaking, printmaking, soundscapes, and immersive experiences. As part of the artist collective Hope and Faith ♡ with twin sister HOPE, FAITH integrates collage and Black ritual into narratives that honor ancestry, soul food traditions, and childlike wonder.
FAITH earned a BFA in studio art and social & cultural analysis from New York University and has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Award and a 2024 Andy Warhol Foundation GritFund Grant. FAITH continues to lead community-focused initiatives, blending art and service to inspire transformation.
