Katie Cooke (she/her) is the Manager of Curatorial Affairs at the Baltimore Museum of Art. She joined the BMA in 2014 as an intern in the exhibitions department (2014-15), before moving into a series of positions across the Museum, including Visitor Services Associate (2016-17), Rental Event Coordinator (2015-18), and Assistant Director of Advancement Events (2017-19). In 2019, she transitioned into the role of Curatorial Assistant to the Chief Curator and Curatorial Division and then Manager of Curatorial Affairs in 2023. During her time in this position, Katie has worked as curatorial assistant for several exhibitions, including Valerie Maynard: Lost and Found, Salman Toor: No Ordinary Love, Omar Ba: Political Animals, and Guarding the Art. She is working on several forthcoming exhibitions including the 2025 presentations of the Baker Artist Awards and Black Earth Rising, guest curated by Ekow Eshun as part of the museum’s Turn Again to the Earth initiative. She is originally from Baltimore and received her BA from Wake Forest University with degrees in art history and French.
