Education

Tracey Beale (she/her) joined the Baltimore Museum of Art as the Manager of Public Programs in 2019. She combines her extensive background in experiential event production for major brands and independent news with her experience as a working artist and educator to produce programs for family and adult audiences. As part of the Education Department, Beale is responsible for the development and facilitation of public programs inspired by exhibitions and works on view. She does this in close collaboration with community partners, artists and internal teams including curatorial, interpretation, marketing, and front and back of house teams. Her BMA programs include Free Family Sundays, Art After Hours, BMA Violet Hour, BMA Makers, and a host of on-site panel discussions, performances, art-making sessions,and screenings.

Tracey is a practicing metalsmith and jewelry designer and has taught art-making and youth development programs for teens in New Orleans and Wiesbaden, Germany. She holds a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been featured in the Kellogg Fowler Arts Center in Chautauqua, NY, MJSA Journal, and American Craft Council Magazine.
