Leave Your Legacy at the Baltimore Museum of Art

While the Baltimore Museum of Art relies on outright gifts to achieve its short-term goals, planned gifts are crucial to providing the Museum with future resources to:

  • Build a strong endowment, helping secure the BMA’s financial future
  • Offer free admission for years to come, making the Museum’s world-class collections accessible to everyone
  • Support the BMA’s outstanding education program that promotes lifelong learning among visitors of all ages
  • Organize special exhibitions to engage the community, attract cultural tourists, and generate new scholarship
  • Expand on the Museum’s ability to collect and care for the art in the collection
  • And so much more

The John Russell Pope Legacy Society

The John Russell Pope Legacy Society was founded to recognize and celebrate friends of the Museum who have included the BMA in their estate plans, helping to ensure that the Museum remains a vital cultural resource.

This group of supporters is named for the distinguished 20th-century American architect John Russell Pope, who designed the magnificent 1929 building at the heart of our Museum to be Baltimore’s front porch.

The John Russell Pope Legacy Society is open to anyone who notifies us that the Baltimore Museum of Art is included in their estate plans. Members will receive exclusive benefits and gifts.
